Emiliano Ricci, PhD (Principal Investigator, CR - INSERM)
I obtained my PhD at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon in 2010 studying the mechanism of action of microRNAs in regulating mRNA translation. I then joined the laboratory of Melissa J. Moore at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (Worcester, USA) where I studied the regulation of gene expression by double-stranded RNA binding proteins. In 2015, I joined the International Centre for Research in Infectious Diseases as an assistant professor and since January 2018 I am part of the "Laboratory of Biology and Cellular Modelling (LBMC)".

Emmanuel Labaronne, PhD (Postdoctoral fellow, ANRS) |
Juliana Blin (Graduate student, ENS-Lyon) |
Emmanuel did his PhD at the CarMeN laboratory (INSERM U1060) where he studied the role of environmental pollutants in metabolic disorders. He now works on understanding the molecular determinants of HIV-1 splicing and translation.
|
Juliana obtained her Bachelor and Master degrees in molecular and cellular biology from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. Juliana is interested in innate immunity and the regulation of mRNA translation.

Thibault Sohier (Graduate student, ENS-Lyon) |
Ronaldo De Carvalho (Postdoctoral associate, Inserm) |
Thibault obtained his Bachelor and Master degrees from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. He is currently studying the role of specialized ribosomes in regulating RNA metabolism and other cellular processes.
|
Ronaldo obtained his PhD from Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz) in Brasil where he studied host-parasite interactions. He is currently studying mitochondrial and cytosolic translation. |
Laura Guiguettaz (Engineer, Inserm) |
David Cluet (Research engineer, CNRS) |
Laura has a bachelor and Master degree in biology. She currently studies translation-dependent mRNA decay in T CD4+ lymphocytes. |
David obtained his PhD from Université de Strasbourg where he studied protein-protein interactions during HIV-1 infection. He obtained a permanent research engineer position at LBMC (ENS de Lyon) where he further worked on protein-protein interactions by developing a quantitative yeast two-hybrid approach. He currently studies protein-protein interactions in the context of mRNA translation. |
